HEC Merit List 2023 PM Laptop Scheme
A total of 100,000 laptops will be distributed as part of this program. However, there is a large number of students enrolled in higher education institutions, specifically “eligible students.” Therefore, the laptops will be awarded solely based on merit among the students. Eligible students at each distribution level or group will follow the principle of inter se merit.
To break it down further:
- 50% of the reserved quota will be allocated for distribution to students in their first year, based on their inter se merit.
- There is a provision of 20% for students studying in their second year of a 16-year undergraduate program who meet specific criteria.
- 10% of the allocated laptops will go to third-year students in Bachelor’s programs.
- 10% of the allocated laptops will go to fourth-year students in Bachelor’s programs or first-year students in Masters’s programs (if both exist, 5% will be allocated to each).
- 10% of the allocated laptops will go to fifth-year students in Bachelor’s programs or second-year students in Masters’s programs (if both exist, 5% will be allocated to each). In the absence of both, 10% will be equally distributed to third-year and fourth-year allocations.
