Main Objectives of TEVTA
- Provide vocational training and technical education that is in demand
- Consolidate and re-engineer the existing vocational education and technical education system under one management structure
- To ensure vertical and horizontal mobility, develop a dynamic vocational and technical training system.
- Develop and regulate standards for technical education and vocational training, including internationally recognized curriculum, exam, and certification system
- Enhance teaching skills, knowledge, and teaching abilities of teaching staff
- Upgrading teaching equipment to meet the requirements
- Establish a close relationship with different sectors of the economy, including Agriculture, Industry, Services, and Commerce
- Analyze the workforce training requirements in the contexts of both domestic and international markets
- Increase the participation of the private sector in management training activities
- Establishing a system of public coordination at the District level through Boards of Management, which coordinate all institutions within the District and their administration
- Encourage local entrepreneurs to support the TEVTA institutions’ training programs, offer on-the-job training facilities, and provide employment opportunities for graduates.
- Set up regular Monitoring/Evaluation & Feedback systems for vocational training and teaching education to respond efficiently to the existing and changing demand of the economy
- To ensure uniformity in Education & Training Standards, develop & regulate trade testing and certification systems.
- Keep in mind the needs of both the local and foreign workforce when creating training programs, plans, and projects.
