About NUR
The 40-year-old Fatima Memorial System’s rich experience in Education, Policy Research, and Health back NUR International University. NUR Foundation, a sponsoring body for the University, was established on February 3, 2006. NUR Foundation is a non-profit Company Limited by Guarantee. It was established under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance 1984. NUR Foundation was granted a charter from the Government of Punjab to document the University on February 26, 2015. The University was then recognized by the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad (HEC), Islamabad. The University was granted a charter that allowed it to offer degree-granting programs.
NIU’s sponsors, the Board of Directors of NUR Foundation, raise funds necessary to support its operations and meet its infrastructure needs. The University’s policy-making body, the Board of Governors, comprises prominent members of academia, business, and representatives of the HEC/PHEC and Punjab Government. Many of the Board members are academics and serve as a vital link between the University’s academic community and the University.
