Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) has launched the Online Item Bank System (IBS) to examine questions for students in Grades 1-8 at more than 65,000 of government schools in the province.

The change was made following Provincial Education Department (SED) and the provincial School Education Department (SED) instructed the PEC to keep track of the technical input regarding the revision, improvement, and application of the Assessment Policy Framework (APF) that went into force in 2020. In this context, PEC has established IBS which is based upon international standards to evaluate the quality of the question papers for students from the province.
