سکول ایجوکیشن ڈیپارٹمنٹ پنجاب نے صوبہ بھر کے تمام سکولوں میں جنوری اور فروری کے مہینے میں سردی سے بچنے کے لیے طلباء کو ہر قسم کے گرم کپڑے، جرسی، سوئٹرز، کیپ،جرابیں اور جیکٹ وغیرہ پہننے کی اجازت دے دی ہے اور اس سلسلے میں مندرجہ ذیل نوٹیفیکیشن بھی جاری کر دیا ہے.
All schools, private and public, reopened in Punjab after 16 days of winter vacation despite parents’ request. Because it is extremely cold and foggy in Punjab, and the school conditions are poor, they requested that the winter vacation be extended by one week. These schools are unable to protect their children from the weather. The SED declined to grant their request.

School Education Department Punjab has now instructed all private and public schools to relax their uniform policy. Students may be allowed to wear any sweater/blazer/coat/jacket/ cap/socks/shoes etc in the months of January and February 2024, to keep them warm and protect them from cold weather. This notification has been sent. All schools, public and private, are asked to comply with this spirit and letter.
