HEC Accreditation Council Issued List 2023 here. To check the status of an institute or program’s accreditation, the Higher Education Commission HEC Islamabad issues students alerts. The professional degree programs offered at universities and institutes are recognized by 14 professional accreditation agencies. These authorities must be accredited in order to receive HEC recognition.

HEC recognizes only the institution’s status. The professional accreditation authorities verify professional degrees. These include the Pakistan Medical and Dental Commission and Pakistan Engineering Council. The following list includes the types of degree programs and accreditation authorities.

QAA is a monitoring and policy-making organization that ensures quality assurance in higher education institutions. It implements quality enhancement criteria and procedures to improve international competitiveness and compatibility at the program and institutional levels.

HEC provides funding and logistical support to make QAA fully operational. QAA works in partnership with HEC’s Quality Assurance Division. The Quality Assurance Committee (QAC), which includes prominent educationists, acts as the Advisory Board. QAA works to protect the public interest by encouraging quality education and enforcing best practices in education.
