The Punjab government announced a scheme of scholarships for employees of departments of government. Public sector employees can be eligible for scholarships for either two or one year of MS programs at HEC-recognized local universities.
Punjab Resource Management & Policy Unit (PRMPU) in the context of the scheme of Institutional strengthening of the P&D Board and Capacity building of employees of the Public Sector is taking a step to provide officers in the Punjab Government of Punjab with suitable professional expertise, skills, and abilities. Through this scheme, officers will be given grants or scholarships for local degree programs in relevant fields at local institutions and universities.

Under the program, the availability of scholarships for Spring Session-2024 is announced for securing admission in local one/two-year Master/MPhil degree programs from HEC-recognized local universities/institutions.
Sign a commitment on a stamp that he/she is going to serve as a member of the Government for at minimum 3 (03) years following the awarding of his or her degree, and that all the expenses incurred by him/her for the course will be returned directly to Government exchequer.
Do not participate in the inquiry or disciplinary process. (However, officers who face minor penalties, inquiries, and disciplinary actions can apply for a scholarship under this program, if otherwise
Selection of applicants and scrutiny of scholars will be made by approved committees and procedures. Maintain good physical and mental condition.

Eligibility requirements
- Have a master’s degree or have completed 16 years of education.
- Do not exceed 50 years old.
- At least five years of experience working in BPS-6 and higher.
- Don’t be on deputation with an international agency or donor agency.
- Do not take a long-term absence from the state (equal to or greater than one calendar year).
It is emphasized that this can be a fantastic opportunity to educate the most important person for this Provincial Government and it is recommended that you ensure that your employees take advantage of this chance. In this respect, the nominating of qualified candidates can be submitted to PRMPU by the 31st of May, 2024.
