Prime Secretary Shahbaz Sharif will inaugurate the National Internship Program today. Through the program, internships will be provided to 20000 engineers across the country. measures will be made for the creation of 20 districts with backwardness. 250 mini sports facilities are planned to be built.
A person who is applying for the internship will work on various assignments in the ministries/divisions/Autonomous Bodies/Corporations of the Federal Government in Islamabad and other federal regions near their hometown. Placement of the interns will basically be on the behalf of their qualifications and also these are full-time jobs, not part-time.

This program was designed to offer a chance for fresh graduates of those from the Federal Regions (ICT, FATA, Gilgit, Baltistan, and AJK) to complete an internship.
Therefore, all graduates who completed the Bachelor’s (four years) or master’s degree up to a totaling 16 years of study at an approved university/college or institution in Pakistan are qualified for this program. Duration of the Internship
National Internship Program is a one-year internship. During the period of internship, an individual may leave the program by notifying the program 15 days prior to leaving. In this case, no certificate will be issued to the student.
Stipend During Internship
The interns will be eligible for an annual stipend that is Rupees one thousand (12 000) throughout the duration of the program.
