NUST Undergraduate Admission Eligibility requirements
NUST undergraduate admission 2024 Eligibility is listed below; Please read it carefully.
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks each in SSC and HSSC OR equivalent exams (as per IBCC equivalence).
• Candidates of the FA/FSc stream can apply for NET based on FA/FSc Part-I, but confirmation of admission is subject to an FA/FSc certificate or Detailed Marks Certificate.
• All non-FSc stream candidates must have an equivalence certificate of their qualification, duly obtained from IBCC, Pakistan, in relevant groups/subjects and with a minimum of 60% marks.
• Candidates of O/A Level or any other foreign equivalent qualification can apply based on the O Level (SSC) equivalence certificate obtained from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) office. Still, confirmation of their admission is subject to the A-Level (HSSC) equivalence certificate duly obtained from IBCC, Pakistan.
• Candidates of O/A level or any other foreign qualification are advised to contact IBCC, Pakistan for issuance of equivalence certificates as per university requirements with more than 60% marks in required subjects/group, well in time. Any deficiency of subjects or non-provision of the IBCC equivalence certificate before the start of classes will lead to the cancellation of admission at any stage.
• Merit for the BS Biotechnology program will be based on a complete FSc / A Level or equivalent qualification (per the IBCC Equivalence Certificate).
• Academic qualification needed for different programs is as follows:-
• Candidates with FSc / equivalent qualifications in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Studies / Computer Science can only apply for Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, and BE Information Security.
• Candidates with FSc Pre-Medical / equivalent qualification enrolled in BS Computer Science program without taking an additional math exam. Still, they will have to clear short Mathematics courses of 6 credit hours within one year.
• DAE candidates can apply for admission in selected Engineering programs on open merit.
NUST Undergraduate and Postgraduate admission 2024 process step by step
• Visit https://ugadmissions.nust.edu.pk and get register by providing a valid email address.
• The candidate will be allotted a login ID and password to access the online application form.
• Fill out the online form, upload a recent passport-sized photograph not more than one-month-old (with plain background), and submit the form. Successful submission of the paper will be confirmed through an email by NUST.
• Re-Login to your account and print the Fee Invoice for depositing the processing fee from the My Account page.
• Candidates can deposit a fee with any branch of HBL. The fee deposit will be verified through Email within five days of payment.
• Candidates for the computer-based test will have to choose Test Date and Session from the available options.
• Allocation of Test Date and Session will be made on a ‘First Come; First Served basis.
• Candidates for the computer-based test will be allocated Roll Number, Test Centre, Test Session, Login ID, and Password.
• For the Paper Based Test at Karachi and Quetta in April and July, candidates will be informed through Email regarding the printing of Admit Card containing the exact time and center for the Entry Test.
• Candidates must print their Admit Cards and bring them to the Test Centre along with Original CNIC / Family Registration Certificate / Passport / Original Matric / FSc certificate bearing photograph as proof for identification.
• Candidates can appear more than once to improve their scores. The system for merit generation will pick the best score.
• Candidates can review their preference of choices after the announcement of the merit list. However, candidates can apply for a preference change during the selection process through the prescribed proforma. After this, a request for a preference change will not be entertained.
• After depositing dues, if a candidate desire to be retained in the allocated program irrespective of the preferences given in the application form, they have to inform the University in writing or by email at admissions @nust.edu.pk so that their upgradation is blocked in subsequent selections.
• Candidates failing to deposit admission dues within the given time will not be considered for admission any further.
• Closing merit of session 2021 for different programs will be available on the website for guidance.
• Admit Cards will be retained at the Test Centres for further verification.

University conducts its entry test series wise like series 1, series 2 in which they invite a fixed amount of students to come and sit in the exam for admission.
