World-Class Center Of Excellence For Technical Education is going to start. The Chairman of the National Vocational and Technical Education Commission (NAVTTC), Shahid Khan was the first to inaugurate the Center of Excellence (COE) in the Government Technical Training Institute (GTTI), Mughalpura, Lahore.

NAVTTC Chairman NAVTTC presented the keys in COE’s hands to Akhtar Abbas Bharwana the Senior Director General of TEVTA Punjab, with Sebastian Paust, Counsellor Head of the Development Cooperation Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, Islamabad the Dr. Mansoor Zaib Khan, the Deputy Head of Program TVETSSP and other prominent guests.

Participants said the fact that technical education is the most important factor in the development of the country through engagement with youngsters in Pakistan. The COE was created by NAVTTC with the support of GIZ and Norway, the European Union, Norway, and Germany.

Pakistan is in dire need of greater Centers of Excellence that provide the latest technology and training for youngsters and is in high demand worldwide and within the industry.

NAVTTC has created a COE for Training and Development in Mughalpura, Lahore with multiple laboratories that are equipped with modern technology thanks to donations, covering 14 different trades, including Information Technology, Electrician, Machinist, Plumber Auto Mechanic, HVACR, Electronics, etc.

The government continues to provide an emphasis on education in the areas of AI robotics, Cyber Security, and more. The government has set NAVTTC the aim of producing one million highly skilled young workers and, with the availability of this hugely skilled workforce will result in huge growth in the employment market as well as the industrial sector.

The government is currently focusing on reforms to the TVET sector in order to improve vocational and technical training to meet the needs of the market so that they can provide the workforce with certification from international organizations.

COE Mughalpura, Lahore, will serve as a center for the education of the chief trainers as well as master trainers who will then instruct many youngsters in the latest employable technology.

This will open the way for this Pakistani TVET program to continue to enhance the quality of its education and assessment as well as career counseling and the placement of jobs.
