No 1 Private University In Pakistan By Times Higher Education is announced. The most recent report from Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024 has placed the University of Management and Technology (UMT) in the top spot in the private sector of all institutions in Pakistan. The rankings are based on 13 performance indicators carefully calibrated that evaluate an institution’s performance in four different categories: Teaching, Research, Knowledge Transfer, and International Outlook.
The distinction of being the best private sector university in Pakistan was awarded to UMT which has been included in the 501-600 band making it among the most prestigious 600 universities worldwide. It is also important to note that UMT came in 2nd place among universities in the private and public sectors of Pakistan that took part during WUR 2024. This remarkable feat was possible due to top-quality scores on research citations. This confirms UMT’s huge concentration on research output. UMT stands proudly for this accomplishment and is pleased to have grown exponentially, particularly in terms of research, eminence, as well as overall position.

Quaid-i-Azam University is at the top of the list of Pakistani universities and is followed by the government college university Faisalabad ( GCUF) and UMT at number 501.
24 Pakistani universities were classified as Reporters by THE that submitted the necessary information for evaluation, but they did not satisfy the criteria to be eligible to be included on the list for 2024.
