Master Research Teaching Scholarship (MRTS)
The MRTS scholarship gives the following benefits to students from abroad who are pursuing an advanced degree in Khalifa University:
- Complete tuition fees.
- Medical insurance.
- International conferences on research.
- Flight expenses.
- A monthly allowance of AED 4000.
The scholarship, however, doesn’t pay for student housing costs.

Combined Master/Doctoral Research Teaching Scholarship (CMDRTS)
The CMDRTS scholarship is designed for students who are studying for both Master’s as well as Ph.D. within the institution. The following are the advantages of the scholarship:
- Complete tuition fees.
- Medical insurance.
- International conferences on research.
- Flight expenses.
- Accommodation for students at no cost or allowance of AED 12,000 per month (if accommodation for students is not available).
- Stipends for the month:
- During MS: AED 8,000
- During Ph.D.: AED 12,000
Doctoral Research Teaching Scholarship (DRTS)
The DRTS scholarship is intended help international students studying the Ph.D. at a university. The following are the benefits of the scholarship:
- Complete tuition fees.
- Medical insurance.
- International conferences on research.
- Flight expenses.
- Accommodation at no cost or a with a stipend of AED 22,000 per month (if accommodation at the university is not available).
- A monthly stipend of AED 12,000.
Eligibility For Khalifa University Scholarship
- Minimum CGPA at 3 marks out of four.
- At at 6.5 band on the TOEFL/IELTS.
- A minimum score of 150 in GRE.
Required Documents for Khalifa University Scholarship
- Detailed CV
- Certified Copy of Bachelor’s and /or Master’s Degree Certificate
- Official transcripts
- Certificate of Equivalency issued by the UAE Ministry of Education for students who have been educated in institutions other than the UAE
- Statement of the purpose (500 or 1,000 words)
- Two Recommendation Letter
- Research Declaration (500 up to 1000 words (500 to 1,000 words) Ph.D. candidates only)
- English proficiency certificate for language (IELTS OR TOEFL EmSAT). Official reports on TOEFL scores can be directly sent by your school to Khalifa university of Technology and Science by using the code for your institution’s TOEFL 0960.
- Graduate Record Examination (GRE) score report. Official score reports are available straight to Khalifa University Science and Technology with the institution’s GRE number 0822.
- Passport-sized image on white background. White Background.
- Valid passport. International applicants who live in the UAE must also attach an image from their current UAE visa.
- The Family Book (Khulasat al Qaid UAE National applicants only).
- A valid UAE identity card (for both international and national applicants currently residing within the UAE).
