DARMASISWA Indonesian Scholarship 2024

DARMASISWA is a one-year non-degree-granting scholarship program provided to students by the Indonesian government to non-Indonesian citizens of countries with which Indonesia maintains diplomatic relationships to learn Indonesian arts, language music, crafts, as well as other special disciplines at the 68 Indonesian Higher Education institutions that have been selected in different cities within Indonesia. The program is managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology working in partnership together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The primary goal behind DARMASISWA’s main objective is DARMASISWA Program is to promote and increase interest in Indonesian languages as well as Indonesian culture among people from different countries. It is also designed to enhance understanding among people and strengthen cultural bonds between various nations.

DARMASISWA Indonesian Scholarship 2024 Procedure

Prospective students must sign up and submit all documentation in order to Darmasiswa RI official website For students who aren’t in the country where they student is from are not permitted to be registered with the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate General in countries that are participating (non-citizenship).

Programs Schedule

• Registration online (20 February 2024 to 7 April 2024)
• Interview and Administrative Check at Indonesian Embassy/Consulate (8 April 2024 – 21 April 2024)
• Selection by the University (22 April 2024 – 4 May 2024)
• Announcement (12 May 2024)
• Attendance confirmation (12 May 2024 – 24 May 2024) 6. Final Announcement (31 May 2024)
• Confirmation of flight itinerary (6 June 2024 to 1 August 2024)
• Pre-Departure Briefing at Indonesian Embassy/Consulate (July – August 2024)
• Program for orientation program in Jakarta, Indonesia (29 – 31 August 2024)
• The class begins (Early in September 2024)

Coverage

• The monthly allowance for living will be given to students will be IDR 2,600,000 (two million 600 000 Indonesian rupees).
• Living Allowance 10R2,600.000/month
• Book Allowance IDR 2,000,000 (one-off) Settlement Allowance
• IDR 2,600,000 (one-off)
• Students will receive accommodation and transportation throughout their Orientation Program if the time is in line in accordance with the program schedule provided by the MoECRT.
• The students are advised to carry extra cash (better than USD) for individual expenses that arise in Indonesia.

Qualification

• Foreign nationals.
• Secondary education completed or the equivalent.
• The minimum age is 18 years old and not more than 27 years old. 
• Ability to speak English (Proven via English Language Competency Test:
• IELTS/TOEFUTOEIC, or another certification if required).
