SEE-LAW HEC Special Equivalence Exam 2024 Registration

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced a Special Equivalence Exam for Law Graduates from Foreign Universities (SEE-Law 2024) according to the directives of the Honourable Supreme Court which is required to submit an application at the Bar Council for enrolment as an Advocate. Online applications are invited from desirous law graduates who have obtained their law degrees from HEC/PBC-recognized foreign universities/institutions.

Foreign graduates must be able to pass the SEE LAT-GAT test in order to be enrolled in the Bar Council as an advocate. Therefore, foreign applicants who are eligible LAW graduates can now go to the HEC online portal to register.

Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree from a foreign institution or institution that is recognized by HEC/PBC are qualified to apply. THE HEC SEE Law Test will take place on the 28th of April 2024.

Special Equivalence Exam (SEE-Law) 2024

The event will take place in the five following subjects

  •  Constitution of Pakistan
  •  Qanoon-e-Shahadat
  • Civil Procedure Code
  • Specific Relief Act.
  • Criminal Procedure Code

This test is constructed using Multiple Choice Questions {CQs) only. The test will be conducted on 28th April, 2024, but it is not certain. Any change in the test communicated through www.hec.gov.pk and http://etc.hec.gov.pk.

Applicants who register through HEC online registration process will be able to download their Roll Number Slip from http://www.hec.gov.pk and the same shall also be sent to their registered email address a week before the test date. An email or SMS will be sent out to applicants who have registered for the exam date, time, and location.

Candidates must submit a valid mobile or email address when filling out the online application form. A copy of the Roll Number Slip, as well as the original CNIC, is required for entry into the Examination Centre on the test day.

However, SEE LAW GAT 2024 is an MCQ-based test which means that all the questions must stem taken from the subject covered within the course syllabus.

  • If you experience any issues when registering online, visit the online assistance hec.gov.pk or go to HEC Secretariat or contact HEC Regional Centers for help.
  • Only applications submitted online will be considered for the SEE-Law Test.
  • A testing cost of Rs. 5000/- will be paid online or through ATM into account no. 01127900567403 with the Account title: Higher Education Commission, Bank: Habib Bank Limited, Branch Code 0112
  • Download the bank challan form while registering for the test at http://etc.hec.gov.pk (Fee challan is only available at ETC online registration portal)
  • Candidates are required to upload their paid and scanned fee challans which have been signed by the HBL Branch while completing the application form via ETC Online Registration Portal to submit applications.
  • Please include your CNIC number on the reverse of the slip of deposit.
  • The fee for the test is not refundable and is not transferable.
  • The last day for SEE-Law 2024’s online registration is April 14, 2024.

Other Requirements/Conditions

  • A score of 50% is necessary to be eligible for this exam. Special Equivalence Examination {SEE (Law).
  • Candidates must meet additional requirements if they exist according to these Rules as well as the Regulations of the Pakistan Bar Council.
  • Candidates will be given the chance to take three times to pass exam. HEC will conduct the test two times a year, the first in February and then in August of next year.
