About the Hungary Scholarship Program
Scholarships for Christian Youth (SCYP) were established in 2017 by the Hungarian government. The Hungarian government’s State Secretariat for the Protection of Persecuted Christians also oversees the country’s Young Christian Scholars Scholarship Programme. As of August 2020, the Scholarship Programme will be coordinated by the Hungary Helps Agency.
The primary goal of the Scholarship Programme for Christian Young People is to give young Christian students from crisis areas and/or countries where they have been threatened with their beliefs the opportunity to study in Hungary.
After finishing their degrees, recipients of these scholarships want to give back to their communities by rebuilding war-torn nations and working to better society and preserve Christian traditions.
