The Sindh government has announced this year’s Secondary School Certificate (Matric) exams for tenth and ninth-grade students will begin on May 8. The tests will be held at Hyderabad, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, and Mirpurkhas divisions of Sindh more than 700,000 students of both genders are expected to take part. The Minister for Education, Ismail Rahoo, has expressed concern over the rising heat in the province. He has asked the Federal Government and K-Electric to provide uninterrupted electricity for the exams. To assist students in the scorching heat amenities such as cold water are supplied.

The Sindh government has announced it will hold the annual Secondary School Certificate (Matric) exams for ninth – and tenth-grade students will begin on May 8. The tests will be held within the Hyderabad, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, and Mirpurkhas divisions of Sindh and more than 700,000 female and male students are expected to take part.

The security measures will also be strengthened to deter cheating. Students will not be permitted to use their mobile phones during the examinations. Anyone who violates the rules will face severe sanctions.

The Sindh Government has also enforced Section 144 around the examination centers during exams to ensure an orderly environment. In general, the Sindh government has taken every step necessary to ensure the orderly conducting of the matric tests as well as the security and safety of students.
